Leutnant zur See Joachim Lehmann (U-237, U-990)

(Fähnrich zur See) Leutnant zur See Edmund Tils (U-990)

Oberleutnant zur See Hans-Peter Feddersen (U-2512)

Oberleutnant zur See Ewald Schmidt (U-255, U-802, U-2512)

Leutnant zur See (Ing) Fritz Schröder (U-2512)

Oberleutnant zur See (Ing) Adalbert Fischer (U-779)

Oberleutnant zur See Arnold Hecht (U-779)

Oberleutnant zur See Jürgen von dem Knesebeck (U-779)

Oberleutnant zur See der Reserve Johann Stegmann (U-779)

Mugshots, or pictures of the officers of U-990 and U-2512 I could not yet identify can be seen here:

http://uboat-990.info/blog/?page_id=410

I hope somebody will be able to give me some pointers as to who is who!

I had to turn off the comments for most, if not all sections due to excessive spamming for cheap tickets. Can we have some ED medication everyonce in awhile, just to see something different? =P

EDIT:
I took the picture, what I thought to be Heinz Heidt off again. I am not certain that it is really, will need more info first, though.

Finally, after ages of fiddling around I managed to switch ISP/Domain Packages and bring the blog online.

What is the purpose of this, you might ask? As one can see from the blog title, it will be about U-779, U-990 and U-2512. And no, I do not mean the cell phones or other electronic gimmicks that might bear the same name. We will talk specifically about three (I might add more at some point) German uboats that sailed, fought, got sunk or were surrendered during World War II.

I certainly hope that visitors will participate and help finding out more about these u-boats or at least leave a comment or some kind of critic or feedback.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay
